Objectives of the picture book Playtime with Ye Ye:
(1) Entertain children with pictures and rhymes
(2) Teach children the history of Singapore in a fun manner
(3) Bonding time between parent and child as the parent reads to the child
The unique thing about this publication is that it is one of the few locally published books that aims to introduce a ‘crash course’ of Singapore history to preschool children. It uses colourful pictures and rhymes to attract the attention of children aged three to six years old.
